Madi 2 Year Appointment

Madi has her 2 year appointment yesterday. She is 27 pounds (56% percentile) and 37 inches (95% percentile). The doctor wanted to wait to give her shot till she comes in the fall to get a flu shot. She is strong and healthy. I can't believe how many words she uses now. To be honest...i can't believe how grown up she is....My Moonchie is 2.
I would love to type that she is a pretty easy kids....but she AIN'T - what toddler is really i guess. But she has so much emotion. I love the passion in her. She is very independent too. She want to do everything herself....my mom says I was the same to.
She loves baby dolls. NONE of them have names...they are all "baby". My mom got a stroller for her birthday and she love to push her babies (one of which is Curious George) around the block.
We walked to a local market the other day and she pushed her stroller, then when we got in the store she picked out the vegetables and fruit to buy, then we walked home. She was very happy to do what Mommy always does.
She loves to read, she loves her movies, she loves walks. And when someone leaves she says "Bye Bye....Soon" which is her way of saying "See you soon".
Her little voice is heaven.

Zoo & Aquarium

Madi LOVED te aquarium
She LOVES her Aunt Nini too. SHe wanted Nicky to hold her the entire time pretty much. We even got to touch the sea cucumbers, starfish, and annennomaes (i will post that video when I figure it out).

These are two random people....but it was a cool pic. We saw sea loins, seals, diving birds, sharks...so much to see

that is a putter fish (blow fish)

The zoo was amazing. We saw a family of gorillas. Here is a baby on its momma. We were able to get so close. They have fingernails.....it was so cool.

We got some video of two fighting then the silverback coming in...once again...gotta figure it out

a monkey

Madi looks like she is on a safari. We don't have picutres of big things like elephants and giraffes.....why you ask. Madi was terrified of them. Most of the park we heard "no elephant"

But we got this close to a tiger

Day 1 and 2

We left for Seattle on Friday night and found a hotel in Ellensburg (yuk). Saturday morning we continued on to Seattle - and boy and I glad we broke the drive up. We were able to wake up at a reasoable hours and still get to Seattle when we wanted. We arranged our hotel in Bellevue through Priceline...and we will always do the name you own price form now on. It cut our hotel fees in half. Here is Madi sitting on our balconey.

We picked Nicky up, checked out her house and went to see the Ballard Locks and the gardens there. We made sure to stop and smell the flowers. I tried not to plan our our trip too much. I didn't want to have to stick to a rigid schedule. We were on vacation and I figured....have fun and come what may.

We had fun watching the locks operate and checking out the gardens and the fish ladder.
