Busy weekend

This weekend Mari and I decided it was time to head on down to our local Home Depot and buy our new kitchen. As you can see, this is not our kitchen!!!
We thought it over said, "what the heck", we might as well finish the bathroom too! As you can see we updated the sink and chose a toilet that wasn't three colors and didn't have any cracks, and we decided to go with a new floor. After about 6 hours of work we we were pretty happy with results

Halloween Candy & Spaghetti

Madilyn found our long lost Halloween Candy - Dum Dums. She loves them. She sucks on them with the rapper then pulls it off and sucks on the candy. I know we are bad parents for letting her have candy so early...blah blah blah. She enjoys it. It keeps her entertained long enough to wash dishes or helk....even just take a shower.
I gave Madi Spagetti for the first time tonight for dinner....
I think she liked it. She just kept shoving it in her mouth. She even fed me some too.
Well, after candy and Spaghetti we needed to walk. I love this time of year. I love the longer day and the warm weather with chilly nights. Perfecto!!!!

Madi Walking

After figuring out how to distract Madi enough to get her to walk and not go after the camera, I was finally able to get the little walker on video. I was only able to get her to take a few steps, but this is nothing compaired to what she will do off camera.

BIG WEEKEND.....WE'RE WALKING

MADILYN TOOK HER FIRST STEP ON SATURDAY NIGHT. It was so wonderful to see. My mom and I were sitting on the floor with her. She let go of the chair and took 1/2 step 1/2 step then a full step and fell. We got so excited that she tried again. This time she took regular step and went across the livingroom. I raced for the video camera to capture this for Jason. It took us a while to get her to do it again, but she did. I then vaccuumed the livingroom and she followed me around walking. She still prefers to crawl, because she is much faster that way...but she will walk to us. I was so filled with JOY.

P.s. The video was recorded on a dvd camcorder and not our camera. we are still trying to figure out how to post the video. I will do my best.

It has been a while since my last picture post. These will be the last pics posted till we get a new camera....Madilyn broke our camera. The funny thing is.... I wasn't mad. I simply thought HMM, things get broken around kids, oh well. Any wooo. Things are still crazy. Madilyn has been having some separation issues when I drop her off at school. Jason and I have talked about it and I checked with my bosses - I am going to be adjusting my schedule and we are going to keep Madily at home for a while. Her school is fantastic, but we both feel that we want Madilyn at home taken care of by Jason and myself. He will be with her Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. I will stay home Thrusday and we'll split Friday. Then I will take her on Saturday and SUNDAY is our Family day. It sounds like a custody arrangement... but I think it will work out nicely. I am nervious though. Not sure why.
Madilyn is such a happy girl. SHe has the funniest laugh. When our camera works I will try and record it. Thanks for reading

Madilyn - 10 Months

With all the stuff that has been happening with Madi I didn't get to tell you all about Madi at 10 months. She has 1 1/2 teeth. Poor kid...they were coming in while she was sick. I tell you when it rains it pours. They are both on the bottom front and she won't let anyone see them. SHe clamps up so tight when you try to get a glimps. But on occastion she opens her mouth in such a way....! He sickness made he lose some weight. She is 18 pounds now. But I am sure she will plump up again soon enough. She crawls everywhere and she is quick. She likes to walk with help from a table or mommy's fingers. She stands by herself. She loves the stairs. Jason taught her how to climb down from our laps. She loves to feed me her cheerios and puffs. Sometimes I even get one she has already started eating. It is grose, but I love that she wants to share. I will post pics tonight.

Another Update

Madi went back to school today. We kept her home another day just to make sure she was eating and drinking a bit more normal as well as going potty normal too. She still is a fussy pants and wants to be held all day, and somewhat grumpy. But I think she will be back to her normal personality in the next few days. But her fever is broke, she just has a gooy eye, cough, and runny nose. She was a little hesitant at first today when I dropped her off, but after a few minutes went right over to Mark at school. Everyone at Madi's school was concerned for her and prayed for her daily. They missed her a great deal and we're glad to see her back. I am grateful that we found such a wonderful, caring place where she is loved. (If anyone in Spokane is looking for a great, Christian centered daycare let me know - but I don't want to say where she is at online). THank you all for you comments and concern. Jason and I seems to weather the storm ok too. We are both tired from the up and down all night. But we made it. Jason was a wonderful Daddy offering tenderness, comfort and care when I was working. I did feel sad that I wasn't the one able to tend to Madi during the day, but ultimately feel grateful that I have a husband whose work can accomodate Madi not going to school and a husband who had the patience and compassion to know how hard it was for Madi and Mommy both.
Thanks to Daddy, Thanks to everyone.

Update on Madilyn

Well, We have been battling high temp and vomiting for days now. She doesn't want to eat or drink anything. She jsut clamps her mouth shut and turns her head. Jason and been home with her all this week, then I take the night shift (his schedule is actually perfect for scenarios such as this). Yesterday she ate 1 tub of baby food through out the day. Last night she drank 2 oz of formula at 1 am and again 2 oz at 5 am and was able to keep it down - progress and she ate some cheerios for me - she thinks it fun to feed them to me to. She was in a bit of a playful mood last night which made me happy, she even smiled and laughed a bit. We will keep pushing the pedialyte, juice, water, formula, food - anything she'll eat or drink is important.
She made me feel really good when she found my robe last night. It is all she wanted to have. I bundled her in it and was very happy, she even slept in it. I think it helped her feel better.
Thanks for all your comments and concern. We'll keep you posted

Long weekend

This was a very long weekend. When I got home with Madilyn on Friday she had a gooy eye and a cough and runny nose and slight fever. Saturday...ther fever shot up to 103.7 we controlled it with medicine, but Madilyn wouldn't let me put her down. ANytime I tried to lay her in her crib, she'd wake up and cry. So I spent Saturday night with her in my arm in a chair - no so comfortable. She slept very restless. We thought it was her tooth coming in. Early Sunday AM (2am) her fever was back at 103.5+. Jason called the nurseline available to us through insurance. SHe helped up out. All day SUnday Madi had a fever from 99 - 101 and only slept for 30 minutes all day. Last night, her fever shot up to 104.5. So scared Mommy and Daddy took her to the hospitol. They tested her for different illnesses including pnemonia. She's passed all the tests. They said she had a really bad virus. So Jason and I get home at 4:00 am. Put Madi to bed (the docs gave us somthign to help her sleep). Then we went to bed. I was up at 6:30 when Madi started crying again. I rocked her back to sleep and got ready for work. I am extremely exhausted. Luckily, Jason is off today and tomorrow, so he can be with Madi. My poor little Moonch has had a rough few months. and yes... he has a tooth. She doesn't let anyone see it , but i know it's there. Thanks for reading.
