Here is to another 60 more ;-)

Welp all....there ya have it :-)

Long time no Blogging

Okay all.....I have been very bad lately about blogging and facebooking. The truth of the matter is I am so busy with two kids and work and house....that I usually fall asleep while putting Madi to bed. I have little juice at the end of the day or during the day for that fact to do this stuff. But this morning at 4 am i woke up to feed Grant and my brain turned on and I couldn't go back to bed. So I get about 3 hours of uninterrupted "me" time. What have wee been up to....

1) Summer was really nice and the heat and sun helped Madi grow to a whopping 3 year old. I don't have to excat numbers with me....but she is in the 95% for her height.. She is a tall girl and people think she is a 4 year old

2) Madi started Preschool (pictures to come). She LOVES it. She goes to a school in a local church. And they are great. She is more advanced that the other kids in her language skills and ABC's and counting....but really she is there for the socialization. And we are loving the 2 1/2 hours a day of one on one time with our little man Grant

3) Grant just had his 6 month appt. He is 18 lbs (60% percentile) and 28" (83 % percentile). So he too is a tall kid. He is so amazingly strong. He can pull himself up on to things, almost go the crawling thing down and can sit up like nobodies business. He ADORES his sister. Grant smiles so big when she is around. He is a quite kid though. It takes a lot to get him to chuckle out loud. I think he is an internal person like Mommy.

4) Madi's peanuts. The Dr's wanted to test Madi for peanuts allergy again when she was 3. So, we went to Spokane Allergy and Asthma and had the skin scratch test. Madilyn freaked out an screamed - of coarse. The scratched the legs, then we pull her pants back up and played for 15 minutes. Then they come back to check. We checked her leg and the Dr. says "yep. Normally we wold follow up with a blood test, but give the significant size of her reaction to the scratch there is no need". She is SIGNIFICANTLY allergic to peanuts and we now have to carry an Epi-pen with us and are getting her a medic alert bracelet.

5)Camping. We went camping on the Oregon Coast (pictures to follow) That was great.

6) We are starting a few activities in the church. We are taking a parenting class and a "Starting Point" class. I want to build a better foundation in my understanding and that is where I start.

Now for Pictures.......THanks for reading. Thanks for caring. Love you :-)

Summer Lovin

Here is me and my Moo Bear. I sure do love that kid. She says the funniest things like "that shirt is gorgeous" or about anything (ie apple) "It's actually pretty good" She tell the 4th of July sprinklers incident story all the time - when we sat down to watch the fireworks and the sprinklers "shot up and went 'chit chit chit' and sprayed us and we got all wet" She is a wild child that LOVES to move and discover. As frustrating as that is most of the time....I hope she stays that way. She LOVES to be outside now matter when or what the weather is like. She hates tomatoes, does her 5 chores everyday. and is growing faster that I could possibly fathom.
Here is my Grant. He is starting to eat cereal now. He does NOT like to sit in the highchair and eat. He wants to be held when he eats. He is getting the hang of it and hopefully takes to the chair. He weighed in at 16.0 pounds on his 4 month apt and was 25 1/2 inches long which puts him in the 70% percentile for both. He is now 5 months old. He rolls front to back and back to front and can scoot. He is a pretty mellow kid that likes to watch everything around him. He semi sleeps through the night. He squirms 1 or 2 times want me to feed him (which I do) be he never wakes up to eat. He always sleep eats.
Yes blog world....I actually put this up on the internet......it is my mask face. I keep my beautiful skin beautiful by a regimen of skin care practices and this is one of them. Once a week I use a mask and Madi has been pleading with me for a while now to use it and tonight I we did all the steps together from brushing and flossing our teeth to moisturizing. I had tons of fun being a girl with my Moo Bear....who is currently wearing blue toe and nail polish.
Yep, Madi's shirt is on backward in the photo......she dresses herself and wanted it that way this day. Here my babes are helping me bake.
Come on .....How cute is he!!!!!!!

Thanks for visiting my little family. My pride and joy, the loves of my life (Jason too :-) ). Me, I am well. Just trying to juggle everything all the time....you know, like all moms do. Usually my house isn't as clean as I would like it, or I don't get to do all the things I set out to on my list....but I am pretty damn lucky..... I have a loving loyal husband who still thinks I am sexy even after two kids, and I have two AMAZING babes that always fill my heart even when they drain my patience, and a cozy little house and a dang dog that digs in the garden but kisses me always. I am healthy and I bought a killer bottle of red wine today that I am enjoying right now.

To my friend and family....God Bless.

Summer Fun

Madi enjoying a Hawiian ice at River Front Park.

A few random pictures of Madi and Grant sitting in the wagon while mommy was looking for a new cookbook at the mall. What a cute big sis!

Madi and Grant in front of the B-1 bomber

This year we went to Sky Fest to see the planes. Madi loved it! In fact she loved them so much that she tryed to run past the sign that say's deadly force is authorized past this point. What you can't see at the bottom of the sign is that the last bullet says that it will be used if you pass the sign (good thing is that dad saved her!!)

Happy birthday Princess Madilyn

Early in June Grandma Iris came to live in Spokane.....She had a close call with death on New Years and wasn't expected to live...and her sits the testament of strong women I come from. I had said "goodbye" to her that night in the hospitol.....and now, everyday she is here is a blessing and a gift from God.

Aunt NiNi

I found this chair at a yard sale. I got it for Grant....but as you can see, Madi Moo loves it.

Spent yesterday at the lake with Rachel, Sean, Mae and Owen (the infant tanker truck). We had a great time just hangin. It had been way too long. Thanks for the invite Rach.
