McPherson Look-alike Meter

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Lost relatives - Dynasty

I found this look a like meter on Rachel's blog. I thought I would give it a try. It isn't a science. I tried many different pics of Jason and I and on all but this one it showed Madi looking slightly (between 6 - 12% more like Jason). Give a try and see.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone. We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Nicky came up from Richland on Saturday. We went to church bright and early. Nonna got this dress for Madi and was so excited to see her in it with little tights. Madilyn was so cute... bunny ears to boot. How cute is my little munchkin....After church we went to breakfast. We then went to downtown Spokane to see how big the falls were with all the rain and run off. We went for a pleasant walk despite the dreary day. THen.... we came upon a movie that was being filmed downtown. We hung out for a few minutes while they set up the scene. Jason entertained Madilyn while Nicky and I googled and gocked. WOuldn't you know it... we got to see the filming. Nicky snuck in close and was within 10 feet of none other than Christian Slater. How cool!!!
After our Hollywood excursion we came home and made a wonderful dinner. My mom (Nonna) came over. SHe has been really sick the past few days. It was nice to see her and to see that she was feeling a bit better.
We had salmon, stuffed mushrooms, rice, and a yummy salad. It was a wonderful Easter. Jason and I decided that we want to make that our Easter tradition....Church, breakfast, and a walk along the falls. God Bless.

Tagged Again

Okay, I was tagged again.
20 years ago...I was 8 and most likely playing barbies and wanting to be an astronaut
10 years ago...I was 18 I started sating Jason, just got my second degree blackbelt in Karate playing volley ball and busting out the shotput and discus in track.
5 years ago I was 23 and just graduating from college, Jason and I got married that summer and we moved to Spokane
2 years ago - same ole same ole....work and sleep
1 year ago - I was pregnant with Madilyn and preparing for my life to change
Yesterday - work, watching Madilyn discover new things, doing the dishes
Tomorrow - Swim class with Madi and this time Jason. Taking Madi to the swings, enjoying my weekend with my family
1 Year from now - Chasing my little girl, cuddLing with my husband, remodeling the kitchen and maybe going to the coast. I agree with Rachel....I don't want to get ahead of ourselves, I just want to take it one at a time with my Madi and my Jason....It all goes by too fast. And the older you get the faster it goes.
I am tagging: Courtney, Laurie, Mary McP, Jason, David/Karen

Messy Miss

I gave Madilyn a "Biter Biscut" for the first time. My mom warned me that these were messy. And Boy was she right. Mary was with Madi and I. She was perfectly clean with I left the room. When i came back in about 7 minutes later....she was a mess. Mary said it reminded her of when Jason and his brothers when they were little.
Madilyn was completely content chewing on her biscut and sitting in her chair. All I could do was laugh out loud. I love having a child - the joy they can inspire is unmeasurable.

Race for the Cure

I am going to be walking the 5k Susan G Komen Race for the Cure Breast Cancer run. We are raising money for research, treatments, awareness, mamograms etc... ! This run holds a special place in my heart because my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. She received experimental treatments funded from programs such as this. My Aunt Alma lost her battle with breast cancer just a few short months ago. I am walking on behalf of those two. I am walking for my little Madilyn, I am walking for my mom, my sisters, my friends. I would like to take a minute to put a link up. Jason and I are both walking. We would like you support in raising money for this important cause. Below is a link that you can go to, to sponsor Jason or Myself. We each have a goal of $125.00 If we both reach that goal, we will have a BBQ at our house an you are welcome to join us. Please take a minute and support us....every little bit helps.

Big weekend...

It was a big weekend for Madilyn this weekend.....she got her ears pierced. We went Friday after work. I finally had the courage to do it. We had both ears done simaltainiously - good thing too. Madilyn started to cry.. the kind of cry that breaks a mommy's heart. But after about 30 seconds she was over it and everything was back to normal. She has tiny gold balls in her ears. She is so cute.
Here is my little bug showing off her earrings. This is a special picture because Madilyn HATES hats, but I snuck it on her head when she wasn't paying much attention and wore it for about 30 minutes. I cannot believe how big she is getting. She is exactly 8 months today. In the last two weeks she is really taking off: she bear crawls and is learning how toput her knees on the floor to crawl. She pulls herself up and thinks it is fun to bounce on the mattress in her crib. She babbles all the time which is music to my ears. I love to hear her laugh and talk and yes...whisper. Yup, she whispers sometimes too.
Here is Madi and I at the pool before we got into the water. I very much enjoy the time we spend together because I know she will be a going off to college before I know it.

Swimming Part II

Madilyn and I had our swimming class again. This time I bought my mom - Nonna along

This video is sidways, but i think you get the idea.

Madilyn loves the pool. We have meet many other mommies and babies.
